Have you looked into the status of the battery itself? Upgrading to a higher capacity battery?
Replacement parts should have a warranty from the date they were replaced. They are often shorter than the warranty that comes with the notebook. I am not sure how IBM does this but there is something certainly wrong with your notebook....
