Hmmmmm....better have some good tallent to do that, use of a bga machine and know where to get vram and a new bga video chip to upgrade with, not to mention all the small circuits youd have to put on the board to make it work....In other...
Sounds like a good run of bad luck....I would go for the replacement under warranty as well if I were you.
Have a dv8000 series same card....no issues here loading the driver.
sounds like just plain bad luck owned one of these never seen that before.
sorry but not a loose connection here there are numerous likely bad caps on the board...or a possible blown mosfet, never seen anything loose on these..
LOL by the way a backlight bulb is not a do it yourself replacement, mabey a inverter board is but not a bulb...and yes most likely a lidswitch
Another place to go on here is the lcd cable.give that a shot.
If you dont mind having to change the drivers around to accomidate the new logic board then yah it will work, but your restore cd's will not....good luck
yes....an inverter would be no backlight at all......however the issue with the screen starting out red indicates a bad bulb every time....so to answer your question KamanlinO yes i am sure its not the inverter.
Sorry but either way the answer is no...cant do it b/c the pinouts are different even if you did want to solder it on there you cant. however verizon does have express cards now.
