Well, I have Dell E1705 with installed Go 7900 GTX 512 MB and seems like its dead(my fault thou). Anyway, i'm too far away from civilizations to get another GTX so I'm thinking about new gaming laptop. On top of it...dang...some games...

So better to buy 1 2 gb stick and use as 1x2gb stick + 1 x 1gb stick, so total - 3 gb? If so, BIOS will detect 2gb stick as 2 gb stick? in that case, why its not detecting 2x2 gb sticks as a pair? Or BIOS have just an amount limit,...

But how it will work? as 2 channel mode, so its appx 1.60 gb per 1 slot of RAM? Will it just cut in functionality 0.75 gb? Would you please give me more detailes in this? Also your opinion is really appriciated, think it worth to buy...
