The Audigy 2 notebook will not improve the sound of the internal speakers, you need external ones.

I have a 51m and a 9860.......still love my 51m though, doesn't annoy me like the 9860 with stuck red pixels when i try watching a movie, lol.

What drivers are you guys using on your notebooks? I'm not planning on overclocking at the moment but a couple of my games are not playing that great For some reason games like Farcry and Doom 3 play great but Call of Duty stutters...

I tried recording myself on my 9860 a few days ago on Windows XP Pro. I couldn't record anything on it until i pushed the mic volume all the way up. Have you tried that?
