Looks like 128 megs of VRAM makes a huge difference here, way more than with today's real games ...
Just watch out when ordering from another country in Europe because they don't all ship the keyboard you need.
De Laptopper for example is shipping NL Qwerty keyboards wich is useless for French/German/UK/Swiss/Belgian/etc......

There are so many tools around to clean up windows.
Look at www.iolo.com for system mechanic or www.symantec.com for Norton System Works, both are good examples of those tools.
