The first thing you should do is reformat the machine, reinstall XP, and load all your drivers . DUMP that install from Dell, too much bloatware... That's what I did with my 9100...

What laptop upgrade are you looking at? I've got a 3ghz 9100 I may be looking at selling/trading for a 8600 (the weight differenceis more than I really want to carry around as much as I have so far).

I just wish I had this one when I ordered mine back in June, would have cost me about 1500 instead of right at 2k
