they have 2.4 but they offer "experimental" 2.6.13 and also the sata.i works pretty well for slack. THe alsa included with slack10.2 made me quit it, my sound card would have never worked
ABF, I'm sorry, it was a joke from the gentoo forums. (I'm downloading kubuntu as we speak) and i agree is one of the best distros out there and btw, slackware10.2 doesn't take a week to config.

It is not ati's fault that windows game crash when runned through cedega or do not run. And also for ati make sure you add shm filesystem in fstab and restart

I think that dell is crap and you should stay away of it, cause they have ugly notebooks. So a dell laptop will certainly not make a guy like you
