hmm.. sounds like a bug in the motherboard design if multiple people have the same problem. Way to go crApCER!!! Better get rid of that thing. Sell it as is!

remove the battery and any removable doors on the bottom, there are sometimes hidden screws under stuff like that.

The service manual isn't going to help you open the bottom cover for the memory. It will just say take out the 2 screws. There's a little lip on it, just pry it open, it's no biggie. ...or are you talking the WHOLE bottom?

I don't see how Office would affect it. I doubt it's even possible. I'd say the touchpad assembly is going out. Better start looking on ebay. Or if it's still in warranty call up crApCER.

does the light flash when you have it plugged in and try to turn it on?
