nah it's not making any weird noises. and i have 1 RAM stickso maybe i'll trying moving it to the other slot...im also gunna check out the fan in a little bit, i'll let you know...thanks alot for the help!

now when i go in regular mode it still locks up but the wierd thngs is the clock on the toolbar keeps going, its almost like just the mouse and keyboard won't work, cd rom doesnt work as well

safe mode works ok, it ahsnt locked up....i reformatted and did a system restore already and it still locks up in normal mode....so you think its still a spyware type thing?

ok i got into safe mode ok, i analyzed the hard drive and it said i didnt need to defragment but i am anyway.... i think the disk space is fine, it says 90% free.....i reformatted a week ago so there is basically nothing on the hard...
