defrag and see if that helps.. usually I always find my hd at least 25% fragged from various setups also before I installed the omega drivers (and used default / windows ati update ones) things were choppy

I don't think its worth getting a 2.0 a 1.7 might be good enough considering the price it costs for 2.0? if you go for the specs in my sig, with less ram, I'm sure it'd be less than $2000 at most places

in that case, I think the hard drive would be the better choice here. I would sacrafise ram and paint for a faster rpm hard drive anyday.

well since no ones answering yet.. I think ram has to be 200-pin sodimm (ddr 2700 highest) and only supports up to 2.0 ghz dothan =_=
