The Cable Modem plugs into the WAN port on the router and the computer plugs into any of the other ports on the router. No splitter is needed.

I battled with this question to the point of ordering a SXGA+ screen laptop after i had my UXGA. I compared them and the UXGA screen won hands down. The SXGA+ screen is too bright and the viewing angles are bad even when looking at it...

I installed the latest OMEGA drivers and it hasn't crashed so far... Before that I had the normal drivers from Sager installed and Doom3 was crashing a lot.

of course it doesn't matter... it only matters if you connect an external monitor to your laptop..

It's all grey... the hand rest area in a bit darker though.
