Hi Guy: Got a Gen II XPS that is getting long in the tooth. I am wondering if there is a way to upgrade the GPU and MB to handle the new Core 2 CPUs. Would it be better to just put this one on ebay, and get a new one or upgrade?

^^^ I am using my 4th Dell notebook and I just ordered an 710m. for $860 shipped. The support is average at best, but the notebooks are a great value.

Whatever happened to the days when CPU prices was the only item in the entire PC that could touch 1k. $800 for a GPU or $1600 for SLI is a little on the high side for one part of your PC. This just doesn't make any sense when you can...
