Ok, got it back from Acer. They replaced the motherboard!

I don't feel safe opening it up to look around, so I decided to go for the sedond option and gave Acer call. They came to pick up the laptop this afternoon. I hope it's not too bad!

I've got a nx7010 and my father has a T41. First thing, I can tell you that both my father and myself faaaar prefer the nx7010! nx7010: Pros: 1. Widescreen is excellent 2. Feels more solid - even though the IBM is not that bad...

Well, I have had none of these problems.

I've had a HP nx7010 for a month and I can say that I absolutely love it! It is just excellent. And it is the same as the Compaq x1000.

Yes, faster hd, you will DEFINATELY notice the difference! I do!
