mhm, using that trick you disable the bios involvement completely.
and using something called throttlestop, nowadays you dont need the bios to overclock. If you have a g in any laptop or an extreme you can use it.
I got mine up to 3.5ghz...

Ever heard of powermiser or undervolting / downclocking? You can probably get an extra half hour by doing that. Plus I thought i7s were smart enough to downclock / put themselves in uber low power states when on battery.
