Up to the T7600G will work, although you won't be able to overclock unless you could force the bios to become a m1710s. Which shouldn't be an issue...really...since the boards are damned identical. Be sure you get a FCPGA and not a FCBGA...

They seem to be running out of good cards. not doubtful since that format of 7950 was probably only made for dell, so it'd be tough to find years later when they aren't making it anymore (nvidia that is), or am I wrong and does nvidia...

I read on here that the bios is able to handle faster ram on the inspiron / m1710 series, that true for sure? How fast? (What you know for sure). Also I've been 'trying' to get the timings down, but for some reason, the CL value of 5...

Is your gpu one of the newer ones? aka I """believe'"" 9000 series nvidia and up include aegia and works insanely well. I haven't researched at all, but it's possible that the older driver was made before this...

I 'had' one on ebay. It sold for 460 cdn dollars. There's still a fair few on ebay, and they're much cheaper now. Look up some of the chinese stores on ebay. You can probably get one for under 250 now.

How on earth do you reflash them? Do you hook it up to another computer with a seperate video display somehow? Or use the laptop? Plain curiousity.
