Do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete and manually stop the process and then you should be able to delete it. If that doesn't work Press F5 at boot screen and chose Safe Mode.
I've tried them all and prefer the Omega drivers. They are fast and more important, stable!
Also never had a problem installing them on either notebooks or Desktops.
The Compaq is a nice notebook but I would go with the Dell, Hyperthreading, PC 3200 dual channel memory, 7200 rpm hard drive would be the deciding factors for me.
Or if the Compaq is a lot cheaper I might reconsider.
