The system idles at 800 mhz, but goes to 2.2 ghz when the power is needed. Run a benchmark like 3d mark and it will show that your processor is running at 2.2 ghz. As for far cry I'm not sure. It worked perfectly on mine.

I've only run one benchmark so far : 3dMark 2001 - 11,278 That's right out of the box with the regular ati drivers.

You won't be dissapponted. I love my G3 and it runs farcry very smooth with no problems. The heat is no problem IMO and the screen looks great (although i do have 1 stuck pixel )

Sorry about your bad experience. I recieved my g3 in less than a week and i couldn't be more happy with it.

I believe that the best performance/value would be the 745. The 755 would be only slightly better and it costs quite a bit.
