I'm not sure if my response is too late or not buuut...... got the same problem with artifacting on my 8790 ad i fixed the problem completely using the atitool's underclokcing ability. the default is 405/270.. but if you underclock it...
i got 512 ram on my 8790 and hl2 rocks like hell... if you have artifact problems make sure to roll back the driver and underclock your gpu to about 350/200 .. fixes it completely ^_^
well ok basically i underclocked my gpu ... now it works smoothly as ever.. played hl2 for 2 hours straight without any hints of artifacting. So anyone who has same problem .. i say this works ^_^. I can set it to pretty high res +...
ok i sorta found out from hl2 forums that.... ATI 4.11 drivers will fix artifact problems. yay (?).. so i guess ill wait until omega driver for 4.11 comes out.....
poo... i know it wasnt my system not being good enough cuz the game runs so smoothely.. just stupid artifacts.. >_<. i guess i gotta wait.. unless some1 has a nice solution for it :-D
ohj i was wondering.. does this have to do...
mine is working all fine except horrible artifacts in HL2.. sometimes it carries into windows and it all clears out when i reboot.. im thinking of installing the pre-bios 1.10 update drivers for it and see if it fixes the problem...
i got some yellow dots just flying around in my screen (which ddoenst bother me muhc) but sometimes centering my mouse, there are streaks of blue that stretch to the end of the screen and then in between the blue streaks the screen loads...
