I think my power supply bit the dust, which really sucks. But I'm also worried that maybe it wasn't actually the power brick but it was just that part of the motherboard that controls the charging of the battery... is this at all...

Yeh I have IIS running on my computer and you'd be surprised how many break in attempts there are on my site every day.

Well I only have nero 5 and no plugins for it, so I always do my conversions with TMPGEnc and it does a great job. If Nero 6 or those plugins add the ability for Nero to handle it all then you may just want to try doing the conversions...

What program did you download, TMPGEnc DVD Author or just the normal TMPGEnc? If you dled the normal TMPGEnc then it just deals with the encoding of files, so whether you have a dvd-r or a dvd+r shouldn't matter. Hope that helps.

I would definitely suggest getting TMPGEnc (the software you referred to). It is a great program with a lot of useful functions.
