I'm thinking no 8 GB sticks were made in that capacity when the computer was made. I don't think they were available when I upgraded to 4 GB sticks 2 years ago. So I am hoping new sized sticks = new capacity for computer.
I was having crashes all over the place. I removed one stick and had one crash after the other, I swapped sticks RAM and had the same issue. I placed the stick in the other slot and it all works better, so I am assuming one slot is bad. I blew air out of the slot before trying this, so what else can I try?
I used to run 2-4 for 8GB of ram. Can I run one 8GB stick in a N61jq?
