Funny, my overclocked 9600 pro score is right in the same area as stock 9700 scores. Maybe they are the same chips, just clocked higher? Has anyone been able to overclock a 9700? I'm guessing a 9700 is just a 9600 pro at its limit.

Are you sure that the "allow clock rate change" box was unchecked? That would explain a lot. You might want to go back in and add heat spreading to the memory modules too. For this you need .5mm copper, 15mm by 65mm...
