try to take it out and put it back in. Seems like it's not put in right.
I agree with the AMD choice. It's on sale right now at Ama zon for less than $1000. HP DV6660 from amazon
and the battery life of the AMD is a bit longer too.
This laptop seems like it will do perfect for you. She doesn't need anything very expensive. Look at the price and the specs. A lot of people will be impressed by the deal you got. HP Pavilion
That sounds like one beefy laptop. I'm jealous of you! I agree with soulsaver. I think the HP is more stylish looking, the Dell may be a bit cheaper and the thinkpad is a build to take a beating.
Sorry Drognar, I should had read you post better. You wanted Core Duo. Here's an HP with Core 2 Duo from amazon that is the same as my previous post, but Intel instead of AMD. HP Pavillion dv6600 series
Devil, did you find what you were looking for?
Here are some ideas. I would go with the Dell Vostro. http://www.websner.com/index.php?opt...d=23&Itemid=45 When I went to college, laptops were $4000 and were the size of a phonebook. You've got more choices now. Lucky you!
What is she going to use it for? I'm not sure what Creative Memory is so I'm not sure what specs she will need. This is site has a links to laptops in a range of prices. It may be helpful...
