I just ordered the Creative Zen Vision M after about four weeks of research. For my needs, this player is by far the most capable on the market. It has essentially the same functionality except for some noticable differences. It lacks MP4 video codec support, but it supports Divx, Xvid, WMV, )which ipod doesn't) and can convert MCE recorded shows to WMV.... awesome. So you can't download videos from iTunes, but I don't want to do that anyway. I have loads of divx...
Yeah, my current desktop is actually like the 3rd configuration I've had... I can upgrade and replace parts at will. Can't do that with a laptop very easily or without spending a ton of money. Laptops greatest asset is its small form factor but this is also the greatest hinderance to being able to upgrade and repair it easily as someone in this thread has explained.

The MS 1032 is a good laptop... I don't like it because it goes as far as using an Intel Chipset yet it does not implement the Alvisio HD audio.
I'm probably going to go with the MS-1029. It's a tad more future proof being that it's 64 bit vs 32 bit. Then again, by the time programs take advantage of 64 bit CPUs, it will be pretty outdated.

I have a pair of Corsair sticks in my 1029 running at 400MHz, no problems yet. Was it the Valueselect line, XMS or Corsair notebook memory in general that's not supposed to work well?
Also, I've got some more performance questions...
