thanks guys, i think i'll stay put with the factory installed driver, it's more than adequate for 3d modeling. max flies in d3d mode (direct x 9) with ogl (1.4) lagging behind a bit. over the weekend i'll install flight simulator 2004...

I just got a 1712. It's totally stock, p4 3ghz ht, 1 gig ram, 120 gig hd, fx 5700 128mb. I downloaded the latest driver from the nvidia site, installed it, (so i thought) but nothing changed. I'm still stuck with driver version 5.3.5.1....
