Shameless bump. Just called Dell, and they told me it wasn't possible to go from a X3100 to a Geforce 8600 once the laptop was built. I'm a bit disappointed, since it really was a great deal. Not sure what to do now... Has anyone tried...

Hi all, I have a similar question. I'm thinking about buying a Vostro 1700, but it has a X3100 card. Is it possible to have Dell (or any other store) upgrade it to a 8600M GT? (The laptop is still under Complete Care warranty.) Thanks!
