Sorry, I meant like I can buy the cpu my self and upgrade it? I was always under the impression that when you buy a cpu on a laptop, it's permenant.

If I get the 2.8 ghz and if I want to upgrade to the 3.4 EE in the future on the on the 5690; is that possible?
