There is a box checked with no name in my msconfig. I do not know when it appeared there but I know it is not from any virus, spyware etc. 100 percent sure about that, anyone have any other ideas of what it is?

i did it...I also applied accoustic managment, works well. However, when after i did the update, when i scroll my hard drive makes a weird noise.

im worried about hurting my hard drive.

Is is better to put the laptop into standy or hibernate when you have to carry it from one place to another or put it in a backpack for quick use later on.

ya i defrag non stop...like 5 times a week, probably more.

There is a noticable difference however the drive spinning so fast does sound rather loud like a low level fan is on guess you sacrafice some things for performance. My question is...How much of my performance is hindered by turning on...
