I had the same thing. It turned out to be the Internet hotkey. Just put in the original driver cd that came with your system, andit will all be over

Are you playing music from the cd/dvd? Because that is indeed the sound I am having. If I mute the cd in Volume control, the high pitch is gone. (And -if you were using that cd/dvd- your music will be too This is my problem 1.
