UPDATE: Laptop continued not booting, so we replaced the video card for testing. After we replaced video card it's now run with no problems. This would explain why the machine would shut off with blank screen when bumped or moved...

I'm having freezing issues with my M7700 too. I was told today to try booting with the XP recovery CD. I'm not sure if that'll work but it's worth a try.

I'm looking to send my M7700 to Ztronics for repair. Anyone ever use them? They seem reputable with no negative BBB reports found. Does anyone have any other companies to recommend for service? Thanks
