I've also noted that the 90w adapter does not have a 3 prong cord and other students in my class that have a smaller AC adapter have 3 prongs i'm wondering if that has anything to do with my bad AC adapters.

yea my AC adapter does get really hot when i'm gaming but i thought that was just normal.

i have the same problem it started doing it after i replaced my defected 9700. It been like that for a couple of months but i've had no ill effects from it.

hmm you could find something small and heavy enough to keep the fn key pressed down. maybe a lead fishing sinker would work

i was doing some reading awhile ago on external and if i remember correctly it is better to use a firewire connection than a usb 2.0 connection because firewire i guess is faster

if it'll fit the 17" powerbook then it'll definately fit our machines

powerbooks in my opinion are of a higher quality build then our our 9100's and xps's
