I have a TX750P - got it almost 300 dollars off because of price matching... I believe I paid $1700. This is by far the best laptop I have ever owned - almost everybody that sees it is jealous / envious that they don't get 7 hrs...
I have the sony tx and I love it - take it everywhere on the go as a commuter student. Power is great - using many drafting programs and MatLab etc. Battery life of up to 9 hrs (no joke) is AMAZING.
Highly recommend.
I have the Sony TX750P (one version behind the current model) and LOVE it. I take it everywhere. Don't worry about system specs as I run MatLab, Maple, PSpice without a problem. Battery life is amazing. I highly recommend.

according to GrafIX in the sticky review the actual weight is nearly 5 pounds. Many makers list the weight of the base model... aka no cd rom, harddisk, battery or a combination of these

maddawg54- if you are going to upgrade the memory then why order 2 sticks of 256- i believe there are only 2 slots so when u upgrade one of the sticks u purchased will have to be taken out and not used....
