Hmm weird, I checked Dell's specs and they said 533. Anywho, the costs difference is minimal really. You can always open it up and google the ram's serial number to find out what exactly you have got in your notebook at the moment. And...
You will need 533mhz (PC4200) 200pin SODIMM. Just by going up to 2GB, you will see a nice boost in speed. Which OS are you on by the way? And are both of your ram slots taken up?

*There are reports on NBR as well* Looks like they are all failing at the same time. O_o
Since NBR isn't working, I will just post in this one. I had another go on the Habu the other day and the button feedback ("action") is completely different to the Deathadder. And yeah, now I realised once I got my hand on it,...
Be sure to check the screen res before you buy a notebook next time. There aren't many high resolution models in stores nowadays except for 1080p screens on some higher end multimedia notebooks. High res screens are easier to find online.
Weird, I haven't heard a thing about this until about 2 weeks ago, then I started seeing this multiple screen issues everywhere (on NBR). Some had 2 screens, some divided into quarters. Weird stuff....... If only I can get onto NBR right...

You will be looking at at least WSXGA+ (1680x1050). Which annoyingly is not all that popular nowadays since the introduction of 16:9 screens. The Thinkpad T500 is an option. But that only have 3 USB ports. USB hub ok?
More memory isn't going to make an IGP any faster unfortunately. And yeah powerpack it looks like one of those Compaq type things. :P
