I had BSOD almost every 2 days with my Vista Home Premium, i was about to go back to XP but i updated to Vista SP1 and it is going smoothly since then, 2 weeks now with no crashes and no problems .

I had the same problem with my U305, i just installed the service pack 1 of Windows Vista, and it is been 2 weeks no BSOD, give that a try.
