apparently the limit for the P2110 is 137 GB due to the BIOS/chipset/ID controller. A larger HD can be installed but the computer/OS will not recognise anything beyond 137 GBs. there are complicated workarounds involving HD partition...

Clarification - the drivers are all there in...
I found out from leog.net that the P2110 can handle any size HD but that the IDE controller/BIOS wil only recognise the first 137 GB. Apparently ACER IDE controller drivers can be downloaded to ensure it works properly.
I'll get a 80 GB...
Have not heard yet from Kahlon. I clled fujitsu support to see if they could tell me what the maximum size HD that the BIOS/chipset/IDE controller could support. they had NO answer. On LEOG the people on that forum seem to think it can...

Also - when I called the local PC shop here to inquire about a HD they asked me if my laptop's mobo would accept a HD of that size. how do I find out what is the maximum size HD the P2110 can accept?
How do i re-install XP on to a new hard drive? All I have is a recovery disk.
