There's a lot that's annoying about Vista but the cache improvements outweigh them. If I can get decent drivers I'll be happy enough.

The lights are probly telling you the gpu is fried. if it ran without the video you wouldn't know because it wouldn't display anything.

I wish I could run Win2k. @#@# MS bloat... Look up Tweak Xp on google. You can turn off enough stuff to get 2k-equivalent performance.
