I have been having similar problems with my 7900GS Go, turns out that my video memory was damaged because of the poor job the case does in dissipating heat away from the GPU. Best way to diagnose what is wrong is to go to the downloads...
Those screens look brilliant, very atmospheric and creepy. Setting the car on fire like that reminds me of decent movies, so I stupidly have high hopes of a cinematic feel to Alone In The Dark. Maybe not the same kind of atmosphere for...
I'm still addicted to COD4, gone through all the ranks twice and am still obsessed. Catchy game though, nice and entertaining.
Simply uninstall your current nVidia drivers, reboot, download and run Driver Cleaner v1.5 and clean up for nVidia, reboot, then install new drivers and reboot once again. Best way IMO. And use more up to date drivers, the ones you have...
TBH the heart of GRAW2 lies online, nicely tactical and quite fun, but since it was out a while ago, I doubt there are many people playing it right now. Something to pass the time until Operation Flashpoint 2 methinks...
It does say before you start the game that it requires certain drivers to play it flawlessly. Plus there are I think two patches already released for GOW PC, check em out, they might help with performance.
Lol I wonder how many quad-cores a laptop will need to run such a configuration of millions of people simultaneously...:s
Have a dig around with drivers, find one that supports the 7900GS Go well enough. On my 7900GS GRAW2 works sluggishly at 1280x720 with every detail on low, so don't expect much! It is a poorly coded game and even with high-end systems...
Lol I've stuck with my 84.69 drivers to increase performance, shame that every so often in TimeShift textures start turning blue for no reason...damn drivers!
Yeah it isn't that demanding, your GPU should handle it. It uses no DX-10 effects and pretty pathetic DX-9 ones at that, so you should be fine. Shame its such a poor game though.
