Yeah, agreed, ssd is still an infant technology. In a lot of benchmarks, you'll still see the same performance from them as you would from a regular hdd.

I just use a copy of office 2002/xp which I downloaded a while back....works great for my student needs and I didn't have to pay $300. If you insist on emptying your wallet to microsh*t, colleges often have student discounts.

I don't believe so...you need to either do the direct-from-manufacturer option or google for some specialized computer-part-store. Once you have the part number of the lcd screen it's easy to find.

I would go for HP...14" screens are too darn small!

The HP one should be able to handle itself well....the 1.5 ghz intel should perform like a 1.8 ghz amd.
