I think its a dumb idea. It'd be far more efficient to just have an IE startup screen that says something to the effect of "Hey, did you know that IE is not the only way to browse the internet? Try Firefox here."

In my personal experience the HP restore discs are garbage. Mine got stuck in the "infinite" loop where they never stop trying to restore...it's a well documented problem. Your fastest bet would just be to pirate whatever OS...

In my personal experience, Firefox 3.5 is just about as fast as Chrome. But I also have a "infinite" bandwidth pipe so it's pure rendering speed that seems about equal. IE and Opera (alpha) both were noticeably slower. ...
