I did not know anyone who had a soldering iron; I did not look that hard either. Somehow I doubt it would get hot enuff to melt the metal. I will stick with 1.2GB of ram.
No. I have the wire cutter. But the cover is made out of metal. I'd need a mini-weld device to melt it. I am about to give up on this. Pretty frustrating.

I got the ram today. Installed one of the chips on the other side of laptop. The other ram goes in the area beneath the keyboard. However I could not remove one of the screws that covers the ram area. The screw seems to be stripped. ...
