So a 256mb stick on top of my base 256mb is sufficient? Would big differences be seen if i had 512 or 768mb total given the stuff I'd be doing?

I just got this IBM laptop today with p-m 1.5Mhz. However, when I use CPU-Z, it shows the core speed as 600Mhz. Can anyone tell me why and help me fix it? thanks a lot oh, and BIOS is already newest for the model

I understand that Dothan is 2mb cache instead of the usual 1mb. but when does this difference become noticeable? examples?

i guess as a follow up...what really is the main difference between the XGA screen and SXGA+? clarity? resolution? and under what circumstances do dothan and banias really show a difference?

It's interesting...all my friends here suggest IBM cuz of their awesome experience with it and the professionalism it brings to the table (even just bringing it to places like starbucks). but that might also be cuz they havent had...
