you wont get 5.1 on your home theatre if you use left & right audio jacks. you'll need to use the optical cable and let your receiver decode the audio.

yes. its possible. i picked up a Audigy 2 ZS on ebay last month. Now all I need is to find an optical cable for the card so I can get 5.1 audio on my home theatre system.

Same thing happened to me. Dell shipped me the wrong drivers for the wifi card. Check the dell site for recent drivers and try those, then run the wifi card self test.
you're not the only 9100 user that's had that problem. the fan/audio jack in the 9100 is faulty. contact dell for a replacement. i've had to get my fan/audio jack replaced twice in just under a year. so far though, ive had no problems...
