Ok well WTF is that, I buy a laptop for 1300 dollars thats a "desktop/gaming pc" and the only way to get it to play BF is to erase it all and reinstall EVERYTHING? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr this sucks!

yes ive done the FULL patch and the patch from 1.5 to 1.6 doesn't seem to make a difference. Well I guess format might be the only choice...or else I just wont play on this

Ok i have erased BF, Reinstalled it. Dl'd 1.5 ran it, it works. Now i have uninstalled all my video drivers, I am going to download the drivers u provided in that link, then i will mod it, then i will restart, then i will install 1.6. ...

I must be using the wrong drivers, it shows as a radeon 9600- not a 9700 what ones EXACTLY do u use?
