Got it fixed.
Sent it to Laptopsolutions and they replaced one of the sticks of memory and did some work on the board.
I have also replaced the keyboard to a UK spec and added Bluetooth.
Its so nice not to use the desktop or wifes...
My laptop now stops booting up during bios boot up, and after x amount of time switches off. I doesn't even get to spining the hard drive up, or far enough to re-flash the laptop! I will be sending to the UK's service center i a month...
I finally got round to attaching my old screen on to the D800P, and switched on in the hope that it would work, and it did, it works great.
I then fitted all the parts back from my 888E on to the D800P, and started to load windows...
The service manual for the 8890 (D800P) says that a Hitachi TX41D96VC1FAA display fitted, or a Sharp LQ160E1LW02R. The Brackets, screws and front surround cover around the display are different!

My 8890 (D800P) screen decided to display a line of dead pixals, so i went and swapped my 16.1" screen for my 15.7" screen in my 8886 (888E), which worked. I swaped the screens round and it switched on, so i switched off...
My D800P is currently running with a 3.2Ghz Extreme Processor, if thats any help. I would think that any of the pentium 4 processors which are running at 800Mhz would work!
I still haven't got the mobo working, having to stick with what works, my 8886. I still haven't been able to identify the differences between the two.
