Hey all, i've been sorta concerned about my laptop.
I installed Ubuntu a month or so ago and I've noticed, that even while it idles, it runs pretty hot to the touch. It never really got hot in Windows unless i was doing something...
talking to dell service reps won't get us anywhere, they know nothing and won't relay the info to people that DO know how to make this happen...sucks, because i'm sure to the programmers at dell... this wouldn't be such a hard task at all.
i know it's new, and i know it probably can be done eventually.
and as simple as my ideas are, i'm still throwing them out there trying to be a part of the solution, not just begging other people to do it.
ya know?
brainstorming...
hmm... not having any centrino notebooks with the x1400 might pose quite a problem as far as bios editing goes...
maybe, i hope ::crosses fingers::, it's just a power consumption issue. does anyone know how much power the x300 draws...
are there any Dell Centrino laptops that use the same ATI X1300 or X1400 that is in the e1505?. because if that's the case, then maybe we could flash the bios with that other laptop? because really the only difference in anything would...
