XP service pack 2 is uspposed to fix the P-M throttling issue. This is also a common problem on Sager 3790s not running XP SP2. Double check the power settings in your DV1000's BIOS and make sure you have SP2 installed.
I don't use full screen when I play CoH on my 3790. I simply set it for a 1024x768 window. Runs smoothly at approximately 25-27 fps and looks gorgeous..
You could try reseating the card. It's located under the same panel as the hard drive.
Try doing a clean install of XP and the service packs again. That's all I can think of.
Mine has the same keyboard abbrasions on the lcd panel. The 3790 needs stronger plastic in the LCD cover.

I was wondering why they didn't have a spot for the 3760, too. How about a combined 3760/3790/1280 support forum? Kill a couple birds with one stone and keep the general section free of tech issues for those models. I'll sign this...

Difference between WXGA and WSXGA is resolution. I think WXGA is around 1280x768 (could be wrong) and WSXGA is 1600x1050. Images are sharper on WSXGA but smaller. You can compensate for the smaller fonts by increasing their display...
