The cost of RAM is steadily going up again I notice, if you will be using this laptop for another year or 2 just go buy the extra RAM. DO note though that having more memory also means using more battery power.

I'm in the same boat, how and what to install the proper drivers to make the battery post ok?
I just tried the "remove the battery" trick, and it worked!!! Then re-install the battery and it quits working. Take it back out, again it works. Any solution to this problem? I am in the same boat after a reinstall.
Take out the battery and see if it loads normally, I have a fresh install with XP and the battery status not posting seemed to be the problem.
wonder if the battery removed will solve the problem. I reinstalled XP and has this battery plugged in freezing problem - unplugging the battery solved it...
