is this a normal increase? and what are my numbers comparatively to others?

Just got hl2 today...intial stress test yielded 38.25fps w/ ati drivers and updated windows...after installing omega catalyst 4.12 and leaving it at the same settings (high, no alasing, trilenar) it yielded 90.60! Am I missing...
