okay... i talk to sage tech and they were pretty quick to say the motherboard is dead.. new one $400, $80... sigh... anyone else have any thoughts?.. ideas? or anyone know where i can get a mb for cheap?

it wont turn ON or anything. the power supply is plugged in, i get the green light on the power supply but no power lights on the 8790 saying its plugged it. i brought it out to my car and tried the car adapter and still the same.....

thanks G-Omaha!!... ended up getting the composite to s video which works. NOW... my next problem is my 8790 freezes when im using the AVerTV STUDIO II 5.0.2.7... screen freezes, cannot ALT F4, cannot CTRL ALT DEL, Hibernation mode...

i no longer use mine because of its contribution to global warming... hehehe... mine is still goin with no problems for 1 full year!!!!... its 2 years old now. only issue was the screen which was replaced before the warranty was up...

was the big ones... all the hair was in the air ducts.. pulled it out and yay... all better and a lot cooler

just a thought... i remember with my old comp that BSOD would pop up is the fan died or something... and i notice i computer temp is runnin round high 40s to 50 degrees C... so i put 2 + 2 together.. does this make sense?... gigabyte...

know this is an old thread... well i just got this bluescreen for the first time, twice in one night. anyone else have any issues with this still?
