I think that IOGEAR thing is to add support for dual monitor and not to replace a gpu...

The Acer Ferrari 4005 is a good alternative in terms of power and speed but it's not worth 600$ more. 100-200$ max. For 600$ you could buy a second battery or modular battery, a gaming mouse, 3 years warranty...
