There was a probelm with the drive itself and I had to upgrade my BIOS to read the drive and reinstall the OS from the disk image. It's done. Thanks for the advice!

I also checked Fujitsu's support website and I found a link for a BIOS V1.26 update that does not work....Is this due to the fact that I'm not using my laptop when I click on the link or is it just a bad link? Also the replacement...
I did something similar to my laptop, and the disc with the system image recovery option on it doesn't work now (because the partition is gone), but the image disk with Windows XP on it does. Did your system come with both of these...
